You and your fixed client must both survive until the actual ending.
YOUR WIN CONDITION

THE ART OF PLAYING YOUR PART
How to play Advocate
You and your fixed client must both survive until the actual ending. Your guard can protect either of you from one basic attack.
Read your assigned client and assess which of you is likely to face danger first. The client’s faction is not your personal objective.
FROM THE LIVE GAME RULES
Your abilities
NIGHT ABILITY
Guard
Shield yourself or your assigned client from one basic attack.
- Cannot target the same player on consecutive nights.
Charge counts and ability text come from the game itself. “No charge limit” does not remove timing, targeting, or other restrictions.
YOUR CLASS ACHIEVEMENT
A name to earn.
Advocate
My Client and I
Title: The Faithful
Win 5 completed matches as Advocate with yourself and your client alive.
No passive bonus. Your title changes no match powers.
A LITTLE WISDOM GOES A LONG WAY
At the table
- 01
Rotate between yourself and your client when guarding on consecutive nights.
- 02
Keep the client alive through trials as well as nights.
- 03
In Shade Court your bond follows your assigned participant. If your client is the Shade, your private client location follows their current body after dawn completes; this can help you track a transfer.
- 04
Your win can accompany a faction victory or another ending if both of you are still alive.
Mind the trap.
- You cannot choose a new client.
- Guard does not stop recruitment or execution.
- The client winning their own faction game is neither required nor sufficient for your win.
- In Shade Court your client is the assigned player. If that player is possessed, their body remaining alive under the Shade does not satisfy your contract; an active Guard can prevent the possession.
