Inquisitor
Twice, Inquest reveals a role category and obstructs the target’s following night investigative report, with an explicit failure notice. Their attacks and protection remain effective.

THE ART OF PLAYING YOUR PART
How to play Inquisitor
Inquest learns a category and obstructs the target’s next-night investigative report.
Read your new Cult roster and current ability charges. Powers awaken on the following night; equivalent charges already spent remain spent.
FROM THE LIVE GAME RULES
Your abilities
This class enters play through conversion. It is not assigned as a starting role. Its original profession is Examiner. Powers begin on the following night; equivalent charges already spent stay spent.
NIGHT ABILITY
Inquest
Learn a non-Ruler’s role category and obstruct their next night’s investigative report. Attacks and protection are unaffected. Two uses.
- Cannot target the same player on consecutive nights.
NIGHT ABILITY
Attack
Make one basic attack; protection and detention can stop it.
Condition: Available only while you hold the Cult’s single attack. Succession is Assassin, then Mastermind, then the lowest-seat living converted Cult member or legacy Acolyte.
Charge counts and ability text come from the game itself. “No charge limit” does not remove timing, targeting, or other restrictions.
YOUR CLASS ACHIEVEMENT
A name to earn.
Inquisitor
Silence the Evidence
Title: The Dread Questioner
Win 5 completed matches while finishing as Inquisitor. Cosmetic title only.
No passive bonus. Your title changes no match powers.
A LITTLE WISDOM GOES A LONG WAY
At the table
- 01
A category is not a faction or exact class.
- 02
The target receives an explicit obstruction notice; its attack and protection are unaffected.
Mind the trap.
- This is a conversion-only class. Neutrals and both Ruler allegiances cannot become it.
- The Cult keeps one shared night attack. Its holder chooses a specialist action or the attack; conversion does not grant an extra independent kill.
