Examiner
Examine whether another non-Ruler was Cult at the start of the night.
YOUR WIN CONDITION
Eliminate every Cult member and hostile Neutral while an Innocent survives. Executing the Martyr makes your faction lose.
THE ART OF PLAYING YOUR PART
How to play Examiner
You test whether a non-Ruler was Cult at the beginning of a particular night. Your scarce, dated reports are strong evidence when the court understands exactly what they mean.
Use the first day to collect claims. Examine opens on Night 2, so select a suspect whose result will change the court’s decision.

No passive bonus. Your title changes no match powers.
A LITTLE WISDOM GOES A LONG WAY
At the table
- 01
Quote the night number alongside each report.
- 02
A Not Cult result still allows a Neutral. Later recruitment can change allegiance; in Shade Court, possession can replace the person occupying that body.
- 03
Leave the required rest night between examinations.
Mind the trap.
- You cannot examine the Ruler.
- An examination does not name the class or establish permanent loyalty.
- A blocked examination still consumes its committed charge.
