The Innocents

Physician

Treat has unlimited uses: shield someone from one attack each night. You cannot repeat the same target on consecutive nights; self-treatment is available once.

YOUR WIN CONDITION

Eliminate every Cult member and hostile Neutral while an Innocent survives. Executing the Martyr makes your faction lose.

THE ART OF PLAYING YOUR PART

How to play Physician

In new v0.8 courts of every size, Treat has unlimited uses. Your treatment absorbs one basic attack against a player. Predict the night’s likely victim, then plan ahead for the restriction on repeating a target.

YOUR OPENING MOVE

Protect someone whose survival would help the court make a better decision. Save your one opportunity for self-treatment for a credible threat.

  • Cannot target the same player on consecutive nights.

Charge counts and ability text come from the game itself. “No charge limit” does not remove timing, targeting, or other restrictions.

A LITTLE WISDOM GOES A LONG WAY

At the table

  1. 01

Alternate patients rather than assuming you can protect one person forever.

  2. 02

A treatment report confirms deployment, not that you stopped an attack.

  3. 03

Use treatment on every eligible night: new courts have no charge limit at 8, 12 or 16 seats. Your one self-treatment is still a separate limit.

Mind the trap.

  • Several single shields still absorb only one attack in total.
  • Treatment does not block recruitment or execution.
  • A detained treatment does not protect its target, and treatment cannot reach a jailed target. Persisted pre-v0.8 courts retain their original finite charge allowance; a blocked attempt can still spend one of those legacy charges.
  • In Shade Court, an active treatment shield can also prevent possession of its target.
